Temperature limitations

Him floor limitations FC140N shall not be applied at temperatures below 5°C, nor at a substrate temperature which is lower than the dew point temperature plus 3 °C. The maximum application temperature is 35 °C .

Surface preparation

It essential to thorough prepare the floor surface in order to achieve a sound, clean and dry substrate. because Him floor FC140N is a relatively thin coating, the substrate must be fine textured, any surface irregularities may show through causing excessive wear on high spots and changing the perceived colour of the coating. Concrete substrates, a sound, clean substrates is essential to achieve maximum adhesion.
Epoxy screeds: him floor FC140N may be applied to him floor epoxy resin screeds.

Limitations

New concrete floors should be at least 28 days old and give a hygrometer reading not exceeding not 5% (protimeter).

Primer

No primer is necessary.

Mixing

The individual components of him floor FC140N should be thoroughly stirred before the two are mixed together.
Proper mixing of the components is essential. The entire contents of the hardener components should be poured into the base container. mix the components for at least 3 minutes. The use of a heavy-duty slow speed drill fitted with a mixing paddle is desirable.

Material consumption (theoretical)

0.11/m² =0.13 kg/m² per coat depending upon substrate and preparation.

Application

The mixed him floor FC140N should be applied to the prepared surface using a brush or lambs wool roller. Ensure that the area is completely coated and that “pending” of the material does not occur since solvent may be trapped within the product. Thus preventing complete cure.
The second coat may be applied as soon as the first coat has initially dried ( the next).day the time will be dependent on the type of surface and the ambient conditions.
