Flooring system

1 layer of Him primer 30 or Him primer 31
1 layer of Him floor SL2000/ SL3000/ SL4000
1 or 2 layers of Him floor FC210

The service life of a floor can be considerably extended by good housekeeping. Regular cleaning may be carried out using a rotary scrubbing machine with a water miscible cleaning agent at temperature up to 50°C

When mixed, Himfloor SL2000/ SL3000 / SL4000 should be poured immediately on to the surface and spread in the right coat thickness with a steel trowel or a float. Using a nylon spiked roller, remove air entrainment and trowel marks and allow to cure. Himfloor SL2000/ SL3000 / SL4000 will become an even coloured, dense, impervious floor topping.
After 30 minutes and within 12 hour (at 20°C). the floor can be rolled again in order to remove possible air entrainment.

It is possible that under certain circumstances a slightly oily layer is formed on the applied surface. This layer can be easily removed before the floor is being put into use by rinsing the surface with a suitable cleaning agent and water.

Floor finish

Himfloor SL2000/ SL3000 / SL4000 can be over coated with minimum 1 coat, but preferably 2 coats of Himfloor FC 210 clear. The first coat has be applied after minimum 24 hours, but within 7 days.

Himfloor SL2000/ SL3000 / SL4000 needs to be cleaned with HIL solvent 102 before applying the first coat. The second coat can be applied after minimum 24 hours, but within 7 days.

Expansion joints need to be continued in Him floor SL2000/ SL3000 / SL4000 floor topping.

Pot life at 20 °C

Approx.60 minutes.

Curing time at 20°C

Foot traffic after approx. 24 hours, vehicular traffic 48 hours and fully cured after 7 days.

Tool cleaning

Him floor SL2000/ SL3000 / SL4000 should be removed from tools and equipment with him solvent 102 immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.

Product description

Him floor SL2000/ SL3000/ SL4000 consist of graded aggregates bound in a pigmented epoxy resin binder. All SL flooring products are supplied as a four-component system, pre-weighed for on site- mixing or in bulk components. They are flow applied floor topping for use at a thickness of resp. 2 mm (him floor SL2000), 3 mm (him floor SL3000), or 4-6 ( him floor SL4000).
When laid him floor SL 2000/SL 3000/SL 4000, provide a smooth, light reflective surface. They are available in a wide range of standard RAL colours and can be scattered with flakes.

The decorative appearance of Him floor SL2000/ SL3000/ SL4000can be greatly enhanced by scattering the surface with flakes mixtures is available.

Temperature limitations

Him floor SL2000/ SL3000 / SL4000 should not be applied at temperature below 5°C, or at a substrate temperature which is lower than the dew point plus 3°C.
The maximum application temperature is 35°C .

Surface preparation

It is essential to thoroughly prepare the floor surface in order to achieve a sound, clean and dry substrate. Concrete substrate acid wash, gritblsting, milling, or a combination of these techniques.
The substrate needs to be levelled before applying Him floor SL2000/ SL3000/ SL4000.

New concrete floors should be at least 28 days old and give a hygrometer reading not exceeding 5% (protimeter).

With non-self-supporting concrete floors transfer of moisture from the soil might occur, resulting in adhesion failures of the flooring system. In order to judge the suitability of a substrate beforehand: apply the rubber mat test.

Apply HIM primer 30 or HIM primer 31 on the prepared substrate. Mix both components of the primer till a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The primer should be applied immediately with a roller or brush in a thin continuous film. Gare should be taken to avoid over application or puddles. If the existing floor is very porous second coat may be necessary. Him floor SL2000/ SL3000/ SL4000 is applied when the primer is tack-free.

Proper mixing of the components essential. mix the base and hardner in a mixing vessl.add the colour pot and mix till an even colour shown .add the aggregate filler and mix all components for another 3-5 minutes till a homogeneous mixture is obtained . do not add solvent. It is important that all components are intermixed thoroughly with a forced-action mixer or an approved spiral paddle in a slow speed heavy-duty drill so that no traces of the components remain unmixed.
